Imagine being able to watch your favourite films anytime, anywhere on your pocket PC. That's what Plato DVD to Pocket PC Converter allows you to do in a powerful little package which comes bundled with several nice features. What I hate with video converters is having to hang around whilst the often lengthy conversion process completes and I can finally shut down my PC for the night. There's no such problems with Plato DVD to Pocket PC however because you can set it to automatically shutdown once the process is complete.
It's also very simple to use. Once installed, simply click "Add" to as many files as you want for the conversion list. If you want to remove a specific conversion task from schedule list, press "remove" button. If you want to reset the schedule list, press "Clear". You can also set the start and end point of a video to convert by dragging the sliding bar to the appropriate point. After that, you simply set the output Pocket PC AVI video quality and instruct the program where to save the converted file. Once you click convert, a status bar will show you how much is completed.
Prepare to wait a long time though - conversion speed runs at about twice the speed of playback so for a 2 hour film, you're going to wait at least an hour. You may also experience a common error message saying ""Decoder not initiated. Select IFO file first" depending on the encryption of the DVD. This can be fixed by selecting "Use aspi for DVD driver to access DVD driver" from the file menu although it simply can't convert all DVD's.
